Judy exclusively practices family law. Judy obtained her law degree from the University of Western Ontario and she was called to the Ontario bar in 2004. Judy has an Honours degree in Social Sciences (Criminology) from the University of Ottawa and a Social Service Worker diploma from Loyalist College.
Judy represents clients in all areas of family law including matters of parenting (custody and access and mobility issues), child and spousal support and matters of property which includes equalization of net family properties, property issues for common-law spouses, trust claims and complex issues involving businesses. Judy has extensive experience representing clients in court and she provides representation to clients for mediations and arbitrations. Judy also negotiates and prepares separation agreements, cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts on behalf of her clients.
Judy takes a common sense approach and considers practical solutions when assisting clients to resolve their family law issues. She has a specific interest in assisting clients with high conflict parenting disputes because conflict is harmful to a child's brain development.
